  2. Margaret Thatcher may not have been perfect, she made her mistakes, but she had a love of this country and those bullies in Westminster outed her. Edward Heath, on the other hand, was a Tory traitor who fooled the people with his lies, assurances so don't let us malign Mrs Thatcher by association. Allow me to remind you, Heath was an architect of deceit. A quote, “There are some in this country who fear that in going into Europe we shall in some way sacrifice independence and sovereignty. These fears, I need hardly say, are completely unjustified.” Prime Minister Edward Heath, television broadcast on Britain’s entry into the Common Market, January 1973 This country quite voluntarily surrendered the once seemingly immortal concept of the sovereignty of parliament and legislative freedom by membership of the European Union … as a once sovereign power, we have said we want to be bound by Community law. He covered his tracks with lie upon lie. It was treason and quite illegal! The consensus is that we didn't really join the common market and in turn we did not join the EU. Our politicians made a gift of it to the crumbling EU.
